Work Package Tasks
T7.1 - Establishing a consortium agreement, advisory board and administrative coordination
T7.1 includes project coordination and administration, including communication with the European Commission and advisory board. Under T7.1 Thünen will arrange consortium and steering meetings, conduct budget control, consolidate periodic reports and monitor project progress in accordance with specified milestones and time schedule. Thünen will develop first the consortium agreement that forms the basis for the collaboration across partners. A project advisory board (PAB) will give strategic advice to the project, review the key outputs and give advice to ensure a high scientific standard. As a basis for communication, regular project meetings (physical and online) are planned at least every six months. The MarinePlan consortium will contribute to the capacity building and therefore Thünen will coordinate and foster networking between PhD students through e.g. thematic workshops.
Lead: Thünen; partners: MI, UAEGEAN, AZTI, EII, UNINA, RBINS, CSIC, IMAR UAZ, QUB, IECS, SZN, UHAM
T7.2 – Developing a communication strategy
Communication is an integral part of an inter- and transdisciplinary project and as such will get specific attention. This task will develop a communication plan supporting communication between (1) the interdisciplinary project partners (2) between the scientific advisory board and project members (3) the project and its stakeholders, (4) other thematic related projects under this EU work program, (5) PhD students, and (6) the EU. Under this task, Thünen will establish a virtual workspace and communication platform as well as a public website (M7.4). The dedicated project website will provide links to news, announcements, and deliverables.
Lead: Thünen; partners: MI, UAEGEAN, AZTI, EII, UNINA, RBINS, CSIC, IMAR UAZ, QUB, IECS, SZN
T7.3 – Developing a dissemination strategy
Based on the stakeholder analysis of WP5 this task comprises the development of a MarinePlan dissemination strategy that suits stakeholders interests and needs. Dissemination products will comprise next to a website and peer-reviewed publications e.g. biannual newsletters for stakeholders, Planning Site fact sheets and the focused use of social media such as Twitter. Stakeholder workshops, trainings and a final symposium will contribute to the long-term dissemination of the project results. Data and results produced during the lifetime of the project will be archived and published following an open science strategy comprising open access publications, sharing and using open data (e.g. Global fishing watch data, OSPAR human activities data) through portals such as Copernicus, EMODnet or OBIS-SEAMAP.
